History

It began as a private resort in the 1930s known as the Four Seasons Resort or Bartel's Resort. The resort was sold in 1950s and was renamed Andy's Beaver Lake Resort. In 1960, the resort was sold to the Catholic Archdiocese of Seattle. The Catholic Youth Organization used it to run Camp Cabrini until 1985. Then King County purchased the site for the park now known as Beaver Lake Park. The park was transferred from King County to the City of Sammamish in 2003.
